Ah i see now, os i'm guessing you have a 19mm s&m one but needed to buy the 22mm one instead. If you are getting new cranks be sure to get 19mm axle ones. Alot are 22 so be careful, all the profile ones cept the SSs are 19 tho.

All bmx seatposts are the same except for some alu racing frames.
Measure it, it should be 25.4mm. If it is it could be that there is some paint or metal from the tubing joins inside the tubing that you need to remove. Else, it could be that your seat post is not smooth, you could sand down and scratches or niks and mabey sharpen up the end if you are having trouble getting it in, in the 1st place.
