yea, ill get all those things instead, sounds good
yup, ill be building this bike up for street use, mebe a bit of dirt, im keeping it simple and strong, no complications like gears or brakes to get broken or tangled up. but if i repeatedly hurt myself due to not stopping in time i might give in and get the fly seatstay brake

Even my brakeless mates put them on ocassionly, chicksands and hodge would be death brakeless. So it would be worth getting one to put on now and then.
The best combo would be...
Fly Seatstay Brake: http://www.cyclesportuk.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=25&products_id=1289
By getting that you also cover the Pads and the Brake Bridge as the Supra/Eagle 2 pads are the best you can get, it's only the red compound on the same ones that are slightly better. The brake bridge is also the best, the only rival to that is the Knight one.
A Bike Co Illegal Linear Cable: http://www.alansbmx.com/product_info.php?cPath=32_55&products_id=4313
You could get in brown or red to match your scheme. Nokons are better but too much for your current budget, mabey something for the future aye.
Dia-Compe Tech 77 Lever: http://www.billys.co.uk/english/group.php?prod=bldc-tech-77
The best lever for a mtb or a bmxer with wide bars, which seems to be the trend at the mo. This place has in all the colours and right or left hand. The Diatech Tech 99 is marginally better but you can only get in pairs and i know your on a budget. It's the none bent one (the one i've linked you too) that you want as the bent one will only work on super cut down bars, which just wouldn't work on a mtb.
So by buying that lot you'll have:
Fly Seatstay Brake
Dia-Compe Tech 77 Lever
A Bike Co Illegal Linear Cable
Fly Brake Bridge
Kool Stop Supra/Eagle 2 Pads (black compound)
Near enough the unltimate setup.

Looking good, it got the crow seat in the gold stitching. Be sure to remember that you need a decent chain tool to fit a shadow chain, some regular mtb one won't fit.

I have a chain tool that will fit the shadow. Ghey about the wheels, need for the ride, shame its not something unessential.
