Post Need advice guys
I am hopefully selling my p2 to buy a new bike specifically for street and dirt. I dont want it to cost much more than 600 really. So far top of my list is the 06 DMR transition complete bike:

http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=10611

If i were to buy this i would instantly remove the front brake and get a new rear brake such as a hayes sole. The other thing i am worried about is the rigids. Im hoping i will like them but do people think they will make my bike feel shitty? If i dont like them i will hopefully purchase some 06 manitou gold label 2s in a couple of months!

I am open to other siggestions on the bike front, for example i have also looked at a cannondale chase single speed:

However this is 26inch which im not too keen on. Just so you all know i am preferably looking for a single speed dedicated 24inch bike.

Any opinions would be appreciated. Cheers lads.

Ryan

i kno u dont want it n i kno uve told me that but my god that chase is lsuh m8 - look how nice that frame is! the only bad thing on it is the fork. u shld really giv 26" a go i reckon! it makes dirt riding much easier in terms o flow cos 26 role faster + big wheels r back in fashion! :D

this may entice u - its a better build than 06:

Ok i talked to dan in dees about the transition, and it comes without disc hubs meaning i would have to get new hubs to fit a disc, so thats that plan out the window. He has pretty much convinced me to get a flow drift 24inch. Much to steves delight it comes with suspension (although only dirt jams; they will do for a little while). The frame is awesome and retails at 250, it comes with insane double wide double walled rims which i have read nothing but good reviews of, and retail at 170 for the pair. Mostly blackspire parts such as bars and stem etc, single speed, Maxxis Holy Rollers, and insane 3 piece tubular cranks (style of profiles etc).

Dees are doing this build with a hayes sole rear brake and no front brake for 600. What dyou reckon?

Opinions would be appreciated.

Ryan

Here is a photo of what it should look like, I believe this is the 24inch version. Will have hayes rear brake.
