Post New Shock
I phoned TF Tuning (Spoke to Tim himself haha) about getting a 191 eye2eye, 2 inch stroke Roco WC and he sed it's not worth it on the ATX with 8 inch plates.

What he said I should do is drill the holes on the frame about 1/4 of an inch lower down to give more travel with the old travel plates. ("this is what we did for all the racers back in the day" as he put it lol)

The 8 inch plates put too much stress on the shock for a 4:1 ratio bike.

With the new drill holes i could fit a 200 eye to eye with a 2.5 inch stroke.

Um......... what do I do lol! I Don't fancy drilling it myself so i'll have to see if I can drive my bike up there and have them do it.

Haha, he was like "Woah an ATX, hasn't it cracked yet?"

:(

hmmm...

Dunno if i'd go drilling your frame, sounds dodgy.
What i'd do is get the shock as planned with the spring for the 8" plates.
Buhsta's bike has a 2.25" stroke for 8" travel so he's got a similar ratio and it seems ok.
Run it with the 8" plates and see how it goes. If its no good put the 6" plates back on along with the old spring from the old shock.

However if he's offering to do the drilling then it mite be worth doing that, i guess they sorta convert it to an ATX Team DH. Maybe Pie Boy was running the betd plates with an ATX Team DH and that's why he had 9" travel.

If you do go down the store/that bolt place be sure they are the same in every way or don't bother.
Same thread size, same thread amount, same non thread amount, same head size, same length, allen key able? etc.
